Mission Outreach

Cornerstone Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers.

Music

Music is a vital part of worship as it sets the tone for each service.  It’s our desire to create an atmosphere where everyone feels free to worship and sing. The music ministry includes the Adult Praise and Worship team, the Cornerstone Worship team band, and the Youth Worship team and band.  Members of the Cornerstone Adult Worship team and band minister during regular services and special events.  The Youth Worship team minister once a month in a mid-week service.

Drama

Interpretive sign is a versatile visual ministry that draws and captivates people in outreach and ministers during worship.  This ministry incorporates everything from interpretive sign language acted out to some of the most moving music, to complete drama productions involving acting and music.

 

Greeters & Ushers

The greeter and usher team at Cornerstone Church fills an important role. They are often the first people our members and guests will meet.  They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free and connecting with people. This team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media, Lights & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Cornerstone Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  Weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.  Members of this team fill an important role providing special lighting effects, sound quality, and worship backgrounds to enhance the worship experience and provide an atmosphere comfortable to worship.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Cornerstone Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.   There is a link to submit your prayer requests directly to our ministry team.

Children’s Church & Sunday School

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Cornerstone Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

 

Ladies Ministry

Cornerstone’s Ladies Ministry gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction.  Our ladies ministry, are times of Bible study, prayer, special occasions (and, of course, food).  These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

 

Men’s Fellowship Ministry

Cornerstone’s Men’s Fellowship allows the men in our church family a time of interaction which will include Bible study, prayer and special occasions.
